The Music Ministry leads the congregation in worship through song while providing a prayerful, uplifting, and spiritually meaning experience. We seek to foster community and faith sharing among our people as we worship with one voice for the greater glory of God.

• Children's Choir: (Kindergarten - 4th Grade)  
  • Rehearsals: Wednesdays | 6:00 PM - 6:45 PM
    • The Children's Choir rehearses weekly for 45 minutes for upcoming liturgies, especially Christmas and Easter. This choir sings once a month on the last Sunday of each month at the 10:30 AM Mass. 

• Junior Choir: (5th Grade - 8th Grade)  
  • Rehearsals: Wednesdays | 6:00 PM - 6:45 PM
    • The Junior Choir members rehearse weekly for 45 minutes for upcoming liturgies, learning two and three part harmonies. This choir sings once a month on the last Sunday of each month at the 10:30 AM Mass. 

• Victory Choir: (High School - Adults) 
  •  Rehearsals: Wednesdays | 7: 15 PM - 8:30 PM
    • The Victory Choir enjoys meeting weekly to learn music for weekend liturgies.  No experience is necessary to join this ensemble!  We will give you the tools necessary to learn how to read music.  This ensemble also enjoys spending time together in fellowship.  This choir sings once a month on the First Sunday of each month at the 12:30 PM Mass. 
      
      
• Monastery Choir: (Adults) 
  • Rehearsals: Thursdays | 4:15 PM - 5:30 PM
    • The principal vocal ensemble at St. Joseph's Monastery is the Monastery Choir, an adult chorus composed entirely of parishioners. From September to May, the Choir sings at the 11:00 AM Mass (livestreamed) as well as special celebrations throughout the year. The current choir  enjoys a vast repertoire of traditional and contemporary hymns, spirituals, gospel music, chants, and various  multi-cultural and bilingual pieces. 
      
      
• Celebration Choir (All Ages)  
  • Rehearsals: A few weeks prior to special liturgies
    • The Celebration Choir is open to all who enjoy singing but may not be able to attend rehearsals every week.  No experience is necessary to join this ensemble!  We will give you the tools necessary to learn how to read music.  This choir sings for special liturgies, including (but not limited to) Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion.

• Cantors
  • Scheduling and rehearsals are arranged by appointment with Katie Jenkins (OLV Campus) or Rebecca Obniski (SJM Campus)
    • Cantors lead the assembly in song. Those who are interested in this ministry should have strong vocal leadership skills and be comfortable singing in front of the assembly.

• Instrumentalists 
  • Scheduling and rehearsals are flexible
    • Instrumentalists accompany the assembly’s song.  Scheduling and rehearsals are arranged with the Director of Music.
