The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults—R.C.I.A.—is...
- Non-baptized adults and adults of other Christian traditions preparing to embrace the Catholic Faith.
- Baptized Catholics preparing to receive the sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Confirmation.
Becoming a Catholic.
If you are seeking to learn more about the Church and wish to draw closer to Christ, the R.C.I.A. process provides an opportunity to come to know Christ Jesus through Scripture, Catholic doctrine, fellowship, witnessing and worship. It is the way the Church helps a non-baptised adult prepare for and reflect on Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation. It is also an opportunity for baptized Christians of other traditions to accept an invitation to become a part of the community of God at Our Lady of Victory.
Receiving the Sacraments.
R.C.I.A. is an opportunity for baptized Catholics to prepare to receive the Risen Christ in Holy Communion and to encounter the Holy Spirit in Confirmation. We study and learn. We pray and reflect. We serve others. We share. We question.
