Meet the Counselor!

My name is Mrs. Dorothy Registe-Shelton and I am extremely happy and proud to be part of this amazing family at Our Lady of Victory community as the school guidance counselor! Prior to coming to OLV, I graduated with my M.S.degree in school guidance and counseling from The College of New Rochelle in New Rochelle New York.I also completed an Advanced Certificate of specialization in guidance and counseling. I am a member of the association (WPRCA) Westchester Putnam Rockland Counseling Association and a member of the Association (ASCA) American School Counseling Association and adhere to the ethical and professional guidelines outlined by the organization. I look forward to work with everyone as a team in the best interest of all of our students.

 

Mission Statement:

The school counselor is committed to providing a comprehensive,developmental school counseling program that attends to the academic, career, and personal/social needs of all students, regardless of individual differences. Through collaboration with school faculty and staff, parents, community members, the counseling program aims to maximize student achievement and promote the necessary knowledge, attitude, and skills for all students to meet future challenges and become productive and responsible contributors to society.
